REN is your health and wellbeing companion inside BetterMinds. It starts by listening, holds the thread as things change and helps you prepare your story for the people you choose. It does not pretend to be the professional.

The product journey

You do not need to tell the whole story at once.

Continuity is useful when it lowers the burden. It should never make decisions for you.

  1. Begin where you are

    Type a sentence, use voice dictation or make a quick check-in. REN can work with an imperfect start and keep the conversation focused on what is most useful now.

  2. Bring context together

    REN can work from your conversations, check-ins, reflections and the optional sources you choose to connect. It does not reduce the person to a single score.

  3. Keep it open to correction

    See remembered aims, reflections and patterns. Add context, correct the wording, remove an item or make a conversation off-record.

  4. Choose the next human step

    Prepare an editable note, save a reflection, use a grounded practice or simply leave with a clearer way to say what is happening.

  • Before therapy

    “I don’t want to spend half the session rebuilding the timeline.”

    Review recent context and shape a personal prep note or an editable briefing. You choose the wording and whether anyone else sees it.

  • After difficult sleep

    “The numbers are there. I need help making sense of my week.”

    Bring a sleep check-in together with optional aggregated Apple Health context. REN can reflect the pattern without diagnosing, predicting or claiming a cause.

  • When the words disappear

    “Something is off. I cannot explain it properly yet.”

    Start with what is available. REN can help slow the moment down, offer a grounded practice or simply keep the space quiet rather than guess.

Not a content library you have to navigate alone.

Say what is happening and REN can help you find a relevant place inside BetterMinds. That might be a short practice, a recorded session, clear education or preparation for a human conversation. You remain free to pause, stop or choose something else.

    Practices you can use now

    The private beta includes guided breathing, a steady-breath reset and a sleep wind-down. The aim is a manageable next step, not a claim to treat the cause.

    Recorded support for challenging times

    A bounded audio library has been created for harder moments and everyday wellbeing. These sessions support reflection and practice; they are not therapy or crisis care.

    Understand anxiety without being labelled

    A short, fixed anxiety explainer covers what anxiety is, how it can show up in the body and what the person notices for themselves. It draws on named public-health sources and remains in controlled adult beta with clinician testing.

Education stays general. REN does not diagnose anxiety, decide what a symptom means or monitor someone in crisis.

What exists today

A closed private beta, clearly labelled.

Current capability, contained testing and future direction are different things. We intend to keep saying which is which.

  • Visible memory, aims, reflections and learned patterns that can be corrected or removed
  • Mood, sleep, anxiety, exercise, drinks and note check-ins
  • Optional aggregate Apple Health context; raw samples remain on the phone
  • Guided breathing and a bounded session library
  • Editable preparation notes for a GP, therapist, carer, sponsor or mental-health practitioner
  • Reminders or calendar actions only after the person taps and confirms
Contained testing

Not generally available

Dream capture is being tested as capture and reflection only, not interpretation. A meal-photo route is feature-flagged and limited to user-reviewed visible components. It never estimates calories, macros, portions or health scores. A fixed anxiety-education module remains invite-only clinician testing.

Future direction

Direction, not a product promise

Stronger account controls, audit and retention tooling, more person-held privacy architecture, and responsibly evaluated organisational pilots are work to prove. We will not describe them as live before they are.

Ownership in practice

REN can hold context without taking ownership of your story.

REN works from what you share or choose to connect. High-confidence cues may be saved without a separate confirmation tap, so the practical promise is visibility and correction. BetterMinds does not claim that every signal is manually approved before use.

Personal context is isolated per person. Professionals, employers and organisations do not receive it by default. A briefing becomes shareable only after you review, edit and choose to share it.

Off-record prevents the conversation, memory, tracker and learning writes. If a hard crisis phrase is detected, only a dated routing marker may be retained. The words themselves are not retained in that marker.
